Park Lotników Polskich, formerly known as Park Kultury i Wypoczynku, is one of the largest parks in Kraków. The current name is associated with the adjacent Aviation Museum and the monuments "In honor of Polish aviators who died in 1939-1945" by Bronisław Chromy and "Glory Aviators". In turn, the proximity of the Academy of Physical Education made the park a sports facility. A skatepark, a pumptruck bike track, street workout equipment, a multi-functional playground or a designated running route are very popular among amateurs of various sports fields. The sporting nature, however, does not dominate the other functions of the park. Because in such a large area - almost 60 ha - everyone will find something for themselves. In the picturesque clearings located in the park, those looking for peace and relaxation will find deckchairs and picnic tables. Families with children will spend their time creatively on playgrounds. On one of them - the "dragon square" - the red dragon emerging from the sand is undoubtedly the biggest attraction. In turn, the playground located in the heart of the park is a place where children of all age groups will find themselves. In designated natural zones, nature lovers, of course with due care, will feel like in a forest where "wild" nature is at their fingertips. The very walk among the various species of trees that are in the park makes us feel like in an arboretum. The pond under construction, over which a multifunctional pavilion with a toilet will be located, will be a combination of recreational and leisure functions. In the northern part of the park, next to the fountain, there is also a toilet. The fountain itself has a cascade form and the applied variable-image nozzles make the fountain both delightful and relaxing - especially in the evening time. There is also a place in the park with a special message - the so-called A field of Hope in the form of discounts with daffodils that remind you of the help for St. Lazarus.
